Position Overview:
The Burchfield Group has an immediate opening for a Pharmacy Benefit Analyst / Account Manager to join its growing Consulting Operations department. The analyst is involved in assisting the Consultant with direct client-related content. Reports directly to the Vice President of Consulting Operations.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
· Manages the Request for Proposal (RFP) process in collaboration with Consultants;
· Provides project management oversight to help drive high quality and timely client deliverables;
· Utilizes Burchfield's reporting system to produce standard reports;
· Requests benefit modeling and related analysis in collaboration with Burchfield Consultants;
· Assists Burchfield's Consultants in evaluating client prescription utilization experience to identify benefit trends;
· Attends client meetings with Consultants to discuss benefit trends and solutions;
· Reviews and provides input on client benefit materials, such as open enrollment documents, handbooks, summary plan descriptions and employee communications;
· Provides peer review of Burchfield deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and quality of workproduct;
· Contributes to the promoting of standardization and consistency within the organization;
· Develops and maintains a thoughtful approach to manage Burchfield's intellectual capital; and,
· Engages in process and tool improvement activities to enhance how Burchfield does business.
Requirements:
Skills
· Proven analytical and problem solving skills;

· Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and presentation skills;
· Has advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point skills; and,
· Uses technology to support the business
Knowledge
· Pharmacy benefit experience, ideally with past or current history working for a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), pharmacy group of a managed care organization, or a healthcare organization;
· Understanding of pharmacy benefit terminology and financial terms is preferable;
· Previous experience interfacing with external clients;and,
· Proven ability to negotiate, particularly in relation to managing recoveries when contractual and/or administrative issues are identified.

Posting Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or benefits/human resources;
· 2-3 years of Pharmacy Benefits and/or Healthcare Benefits knowledge and technical skill is preferred;
· 2-3 years working with external clients preferred;
· Analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated comfort with data and basic mathematics/statistics;
· Keen ambition and personal commitment to excellence;
· Proven ability to work in a progressive, fast-paced environment meeting deadlines with a positive attitude and cool demeanor;
· Proven ability to develop and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships;
· Advanced experience with Microsoft based tools; and,
· Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills
